11 Months Old
We are on the count down to our little girl's 1st Birthday! One whole year has just about passed by and it has been one of the most exhausting and wonderful. Taryn is really such a happy and social baby, except if you are changing her diaper...she hates to slow down! Go, Go, Go...is her way of life. She is so close to walking by herself, she practically runs behind her push toys....so funny to watch. She is finally cutting teeth...but had to do it her way...top teeth first! I wonder if this is a sign of the years to come? The first tooth did not seem to give her to much grief, but the next two have been awful! Brad and I researched to see just how many time we have to do this...talk about an irritable little girl...YIKES!
To catch up...
In the last month I took Taryn to the ocean for the first time....she HATED the water, but loved the sand. We visited Aunt Julie and Uncle Jeff in Corpus Christi for a little weekend getaway. They were such great hosts. I also had my first Mother's Day, which was a great day for me. I have to be a sap though and say that every day is a Mother's Day for me. I love being Taryn's mommy. When she wraps her little arms around me and smiles her gummy, partially tooth filled grin at me, I think that this is really what life is all about...She's so special to me and Brad. Speaking of Brad...well let's just say that wrapped around a little finger is putting it mildly...daddy really does love his little girl.
I also introduced Taryn to some of our extended family in May at her Great Great Uncle Jimmy's Memorial golf tournament and lunch. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful extended family that Taryn is a part of.
Hmmm...well, I am sure that I forgot something, too much going on lately, but that's just about everything for now anyway...

Easter Weekend
What a great Easter holiday our family had. Taryn had her picture made with the Easter rabbit on Friday and did great, we really had no idea how she would do, I actually thought she would cry, but to our surprise she did just fine...she was really fascinated with the buttons on his vest and kept grabbing at them, really funny...on Sunday morning we attempted church for the first time and spent the entire time out in the foyer...LOL, so I have no idea what the sermon was about???? But it counts right?!?! We enjoyed a late lunch with my family and hunted eggs Sunday afternoon at Great Mawmaw and Papa's house, which was so much fun...It was a long day, but an enjoyable one...

Zesty!
Busy, Busy, Busy...Taryn is 8 1/2 months old now and really has the crawling down good. She's started working on pulling up, but not quite there yet. She can manuever into a bear crawl position, which is really funny. She puts everything in her mouth except food! I've tried unsuccessfully to start new "finger" foods with her, even though she still has NO teeth, and all she does is mash it around with her fingers...but then last night I found out she really likes pickles, and not just dill, she loved a zesty pickle spear I gave her. She's so funny...Brad found out 2 nights ago that NO may not be in her vocabulary yet, but she knows what is means...he was trying to feed her and she just started shaking her head no...she let him know that she was DONE!
